How does Fileo organize my Google Drive files?
Fileo uses AI to analyze the content of your PDF documents – not just the filename. It reads invoices, contracts, receipts, and other documents to understand what they are, then creates a clear, descriptive filename with the date and document type.
For example, a file named scan_001.pdf containing an Amazon invoice becomes 2024-03-Invoice_Amazon.pdf. The AI extracts key information like dates, company names, and document types to create searchable, consistent names.
Is Fileo safe to use with my Google account?
Yes, Fileo uses Google’s official OAuth 2.0 authentication – the same secure method used by other trusted apps. We never see or store your Google password.
Your documents are processed in temporary folders within your own Google Drive and immediately deleted after organization. Files never leave Google’s secure infrastructure, and we don’t store copies of your documents.
What types of documents can Fileo organize?
Fileo works with a wide range of document formats:
- PDFs – Invoices, receipts, contracts, bank statements, insurance documents and more
- Office documents – Word (DOCX), Excel (XLSX), PowerPoint (PPTX)
- OpenDocument formats – ODT, ODS, ODP

Will Fileo work with Google Workspace?
Yes! Fileo works with both personal Google accounts and Google Workspace accounts. You can organize files in your My Drive.

Can I customize how Fileo names my files?
Yes! Fileo uses a consistent naming convention by default (date-type-vendor format), but you can customize the naming pattern, choose which information to include, and define your own folder structures.
